I use a variety of materials to make my characters from Sculpey and plasticine to electrical tape and wire. Depending on the story and the

characteristics of my characters the materials will vary to suit their personalities. The most important thing to me in creating a character is to

know everything about them; the way they move, sound and react to situations. This then helps me to bring them to life through stop motion.
I build the sets for my stop motions out of a range of materials such as cardboard, wood, wire and fabrics. After getting to know my characters I

can build their surroundings and create the atmosphere they belong in.My influences are Jan Svankmajer, Corin Hardy and Dave McKean.
A use of bold and contrasting colours are used throughout my stop motions.
