The Degree Show Websites were initiated in 1995 to showcase a small sample of student work - the internet being much slower back then.
We quickly realised how important these websites could be as an archive of graduating students. From 2001 our final year students undertook to design and create a website that showcased their whole year group. Generally one or two students take on the degree show site as part of their professional practice unit in level 3, the design, navigation, information and images within these sites are created wholly by our students.
It is great for us to see the variety of work produced and the way each year's site reflects that particular group of students.
All graduating students also produce their own website in order to promote themselves once they leave us, we provide a short web project in level 1 and 2 to help the students learn how to design websites.
